Can glasses check the body temperature?

Rokid, a start-up company in China has designed smart glasses using Augmented Reality and thermal imaging technology for police and security departments to detect COVID-19 patients at public gatherings.

This is the first time in the history of pandemics where Information Technology (IT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is aggressively being used globally, said by CE officer of WHO (Health care emergency programme).

This facial recognition technology is a common thing in recent times. So with the help of these smart glasses, identification and isolation of suspected patients can be easily done.

MODEL: Typically looks like sunglasses with an attached camera and a cable which weighs around 100 grams.

FUNCTION: This measures the temperature of the crowd very swiftly. It sends an automatic alert while identifying subjects with fever and makes a digital record.
